David 3 / Spring 2 - Shed is small - beater is too high

When assembling either of these looms, you set the beater height randomly and it is usually too high and usually needs to be adjusted.

If the bottom shed is being deflected upwards by the beater when you open a shed, the beater is set too high.  The bottom of the shed should just not touch the bottom of the beater (1mm above).   If that is not the case, lower the beater.  This is a common issue on newly assembled looms.
