We recommend setting the vertical arms so they are flush with the front leg of the loom. This provides a quick and easy reference point when advancing your warp.
However, even when using the same number of extra Texsolv loops on both sides, the vertical arms may not stay in the same position relative to each other. This is due to small differences in elasticity between the springs.
To correct this, simply adjust one side to a different hole until both vertical arms are aligned. In most cases, this will be a difference of one or two holes. Once you find the correct adjustment, consistently maintain this difference between the left and right sides.
This is not a common issue, but it can occur.
The key to using this system is to establish a baseline position where the warp tension is correct and the arms are in a position you can easily return to. The exact position of the Texsolv loop is not important—what matters is consistency. This approach allows you to compensate for any differences in spring elasticity over time.
