Victoria - Flyer disconnects while spinning

Some Victoria owners have experienced their flyers disconnecting and falling off while spinning.

There are a couple reasons why this can happen.

1. Your flyer was not locked in properly and engaged to the magnet inside the whorl.  Check that the flyer clicks into place.   This video shows how to connect/disconnect. 

2.  Spinning dust and debris can accumulate inside the whorl.   This is particularly likely if you have applied oil to the flyer shaft or whorl (this is not recommended by Louet - see this article Wheel lubrication ).  Try cleaning the inside of the whorl with a Q-tip and a cleaning agent or rubbing alcohol. Re-try connecting the flyer and see if the issue has been resolved. 

3.  In rare cases, the internal magnet loses its power and the whorl needs to be replaced.  Contact your local dealer.
