Here are some suggested tips for moving a Megado.. The loom can be broken down into 9 pieces that fit through a regular door.
The front beam, cloth beam and beater all can be removed without loosening any bolts. That's 3
The back beam is connected with 4 bolts. Remove, that's the 4th piece. I usually leave the bolts in the back beam section, to make sure the hardware sequence is correct and so I don't lose the hardware! Also, remove the Spring for the brake and store this with other cords and such.
Next comes the treadle 2 bolts were already removed when removing the back beam. Remove the remaining bolts and re-insert after the treadle is removed. That's 5
Next, take 2 saw horses and place them under the castle section in order to lift the sides/feet off of the floor
Remove the bolts that secure the footrest from the front of the loom. That's 6
Remove the two sides, one by one. Two bolts per side will accomplish this. I'm not sure how to explain which bolts, other than, the side piece that attaches to the castle remains attached to the castle. Once the sides are removed, (pieces 7, 8 and 9)
You should be ready to move.
