Here are some suggested tips for moving a Megado. The loom can be broken down into 9 pieces that fit through a regular door.
The front beam, cloth beam, and beater can all be removed without loosening any bolts. (3 pieces)
The back beam is connected with 4 bolts. Remove these — this is the 4th piece.
It is recommended to leave the bolts in the back beam section to keep the hardware in the correct order and to avoid losing parts.
Also remove the brake spring and store it with the other cords and loose parts.
Next is the treadle. Two bolts were already removed when removing the back beam.
Remove the remaining bolts and reinsert them after removing the treadle. (5th piece)
Place two saw horses under the castle section to lift the sides/feet off the floor.
Remove the bolts that secure the footrest at the front of the loom. (6th piece)
Remove the two side frames, one by one. Two bolts per side will accomplish this.
The side piece attached to the castle remains connected to the castle.
Once removed, these are pieces 7, 8, and 9.
You are now ready to move the loom.
