Jenn-E brake issue in ScT

I am loving my new Jenn-e. But I keep breaking the cotton band in scotch tension. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Louet prefers cotton over nylon brake cord, however, if there is any roughness on your bobbins groove, the cotton cord can easily snag and break.

During the lacquering process, sometimes a little dust gets caught in the lacquer.  We try to sand this smooth, but it can slip through.

Use some fine sand paper to smooth the groove of your bobbin to eliminate this issue.
