S45 Spinning Wheel Instructions

Attached are the S45 instructions. Visually, as well as technically, a remarkable wheel. The design challenge for this wheel was "compact and easy to handle". We also wanted a 1:20 spinning ratio for this wheel, which is much faster than our regular wheels, as well as most wheels on the market. Since a large wheel, needed for a fast ratio, would not give a compact construction we choose for an acceleration wheel. This higher speed of a small flywheel makes the S45 treadle easily, just like you are used to with our other wheels. The S45 is made out of hard maple and finished with a medium gloss water based lacquer. By shifting the polyurethane drive band on the back of the wheel you can change the ratios: 1:7, 1:12, 1:20. The S45 works with a double treadle and the Scotch tension spinning system. It has a built-in lazy kate with 2 extra bobbins. Height: 55 cm (22'), width: 38 cm (15'), depth: 39 cm (16'), weight: 4.5 kg (10 lbs). The S45 comes completely assembled.
