S17 Irt Spinning Wheel information and Instructions

The unfinished S17 Irish tension spinning wheel has been part of the collection since 2004. During the first four years, it was supplied as a complete kit requiring full assembly; afterwards, it has been delivered largely pre-assembled. At that time, a matching skein winder was also available.

In 2011, the S17 was redesigned: the rear upright was made from thicker material, and all unfinished parts were not only sanded but also rounded. This makes the spinning wheel easier to assemble and finish.

The S17 spinning wheel is still available.

The matching skein winder is no longer available; however, the standalone skein winder (SA0100) can be used instead.

Bobbin S17 – unfinished

This bobbin has the same dimensions as the standard bobbin but is unfinished. It is recommended for the S17, S15, and S75 spinning wheels, which were all supplied unfinished.
