Question: Why doesn't Louet Dobby 2.0 software read my WIF-file
Answer:
For the Megado Dobby 2.0 software, files are accessible from a USB stick plugged into your dobby or from files on the internal Hard drive.
If your software is having trouble reading the file, check the following:
- Make sure you have saved the file as a WIF file. Some software programs default to their own file extension and you have to be sure to override the file extension to WIF.
- Make sure your file is saved in “Liftplan” format. This is a setting in your weaving design software.
- Make sure you do not use special characters or spaces in your file name (no - &^%$#@!)
- Length of file can be an issue must be less than 30 characters
- The number one issue we have experienced (assuming liftplan format and wif file’s are correctly made) is a faulty USB Flash drive. If you are having trouble, try a different flash drive
- Larger USB stick or flash drive seem to have an issue. Try something less than 8GB in size. Newer/larger flash drives have a different file storage technology that seems to be interfering.
