Spring-1 Adjusting the heights of shafts, treadles, upper and lower lamms.

Any adjustments should only be made with the blocking pin in place.

Spring loom shafts should be adjusted so that a warp under tension passes through the middle of the heddle eye.   The warp slants upwards from front to back, so when you assess warp threads passing through the middle of a heddle eye, make that judgement based on heddles on the middle shafts.  

The difference in height between lams is equal to the difference in length of the tie up cords. The difference in length between the tie up cords is 19 cm.

Lam height should be set so that the ends of the treadles hang in the middle between the floor and the cross bar, in that position, screw heads on the treadles will be horizontal.

• Floor to Bottom of lower lamm 13 1/2" (34,5 cm )
• Floor to Bottom of upper lamm 21" 
• Floor to Bottom of lower harness bar 23 3/4"
• Floor to Bottom of upper harness bar 37 1/2"

The tie-up cords for the upper lamms are 21" long and the tie-up cords for the lower lamms are 13 1/2" long.
