General - Bowing of apron rods

Here are two photos of apron rods on 2 different Louet looms. 1 is a Spring and 1 is a David. Your wooden rod should be laying flat and you will have no bowing. If it is laying flat and you a experiencing bowing they you are weaving with too much tension. We use 3 cords on the 70 cm and 90 cm looms and 4 cords on the 110 cm and 130 cm. looms. The rod in the first picture is 27 years old (2013) and has never bowed.
