Kombo - upgrading beater with Jane wedges?

Question: Is it possible to retrofit it with the little bumpers that hold the beater back on the Jane?

The Kombo 40 cannot have the plastic wedge system added, however you can use elastic bands that you get around broccoli or asparagus and put them over the beater arms at the top.  They provide just enough stretch to let me beat, but pull the beater back as soon as I let it go.
