Licker drum and feeding your Louet Carder (all sizes)

Fiber will build up on the licker drum and that’s OK.  Its going to accumulate whether you feed the carder slowly or quickly.   The only concern about feeding the carder too quickly is that you may feed to much fiber and the carder jams.    There is no need to be concerned about fiber build up on the licker drum, unless you switch colors.   At that time you may want to clean the fiber off of the licker drum so that you do not bleed one color into another when making a different color batt.
