Q: What is the difference between the beech and plywood versions, and when did this change occur?
A: The change was communicated at the end of last year, and since January we have switched from solid beech to a plywood version. This change was made because the beech version is sensitive to temperature changes, which can cause the wood to shrink, expand, or warp—especially as it is a relatively thin slat. Plywood is much more stable and less affected by these conditions. The plywood version is now included with the Jane, David, and Spring looms.
