If the shafts on your Jane loom are not returning fully to their lower position, you may need to shorten the black elastic cords that pull the shafts down. Shortening the cords increases the elastic tension, helping the shafts return properly.
Start by shortening the elastic by about one inch and tying a new knot. Repeat if more tension is needed.
The same solution can also be used if your cords are slipping out of the rollers.
Over time (depending on climate and dryness), the elastic cords may need to be replaced. Replacement sets are available:
Jane 40 – WR0111
Jane 50 – WR0444
Jane 70 – WR0112
