Megado/Octado /Delta - Height Extenders Treadle

For people with shorter legs, the Megado, Octado and Delta looms can be equipped with treadle height adjustment kits.

For the Megado (part number WA0175) and the Octado (WA0320), this consists of an additional bar that is mounted on the main dobby treadle. This increases the height by 32 or 52 mm (1.25 or 2.05”). First, position the dobby treadle in the highest setting on the Megado and Octado.

For the Delta, the height adjustment kit consists of blocks that are screwed onto the treadles and a bar for the footrest (article WA0136). This raises both the treadles and the footrest by 32 mm. The set includes blocks for 14 treadles.

Determining the required height

Adjust your bench to a comfortable working height. Take into account the position of your arms—you should not sit with raised shoulders while weaving.

Then place your foot on a treadle and determine how much additional height you need to comfortably press it down.

Position the blocks where they feel most comfortable and install them according to the instruction manual.
