Jane loom reed dimensions

The reed must fit between the metal reed supports on the Jane loom.

The maximum reed width is:

Jane 40 loom is 18 1/4″ (46.5 cm)

Jane 50 loom is 24 1/8″ (56.5 cm)

Jane 70 loom is 30″ (76.5 cm)

The reed height (outside dimension) can be up to 5 1/8″ (13 cm) for all three weaving widths.
Reeds with a height of 4 1/8″ (10.5 cm) also fit.
