If your brake tension system springs keep falling off when you release your brake tension, try changing how you release the brake.
By lifting the brake handle, one of the springs stretches and one contracts. If you lift quickly, the contracting spring can fall off the loom. The simplest solution is to not lift as much or as quickly. Slightly lift the handle until tension releases. This is a feel you will need to develop. This should prevent the contracting spring from falling off.
Originally, we supplied springs with both ends bent open, but have since only added one spring, in a new loom, with the opening made larger to fit the cable in. The other loops remain closed and will be more difficult to have the spring fall off.
Another thing to try is to unscrew the screws somewhat so that the springs are also harder to fall out.
