How much warp the Jane loom can hold depends on several factors, such as yarn thickness, woven cloth thickness, and the material used for winding on.
If you are using a fine yarn, such as 2/8 cotton, you can typically wind on a warp of 8–10 yards. With thicker yarns, such as 4-ply wool, a warp of 6–7 yards is more realistic. These estimates are based on using regular brown paper (not corrugated cardboard) as packing material.
If you are using the stand, you can remove the cloth beam and warp beam from the table loom and place them in the stand. This allows you to wind on much longer warps, up to approximately 20 yards.
