Jenn-E battery options

The Louet E-spinner can be operated with an external battery, but not all USB-C power banks are compatible.

The spinner requires a battery that supports USB-C Power Delivery (PD) with a 12V output. If a battery only provides fixed outputs such as 15V or 25V, it will not be able to negotiate the required 12V, and the spinner will not power on.

Recommended specifications:

• Output: 10–18V (12V required via USB-C PD)
• Capacity: around 15Ah (for approx. 15 hours of use)
• Connection: USB-C output

As of March 2025, Louet supplies a USB-C (battery side) to 2.5 mm barrel jack (E-spinner side) cable. This cable requests 12V from the battery, so compatibility depends on the battery’s ability to provide this voltage.

If your battery lists outputs such as 15V/3A or 25V/2.4A only, it is likely not compatible.
